Health conscious dog owners who are looking for a quality dog food should make a quick but healthy, and inexpensive, decision about buying a quality product, according to a new study from the University of Michigan.
The researchers examined nearly 6,500 dog food labels and found the top dog food brands were the same brands that are considered to be the best in terms of nutrition and flavor.
“This is the first time we’ve looked at dog food quality and found this consistency,” said Mark W. Miller, the study’s lead author and an assistant professor of nutritional sciences at the U-M School of Veterinary Medicine.
“It shows you can get consistent and reliable results, and that is very important when you are looking at a dog’s health and wellness.”
The study also revealed that dog foods were generally more expensive than comparable products from competitors and that brands that had lower food quality scores were more expensive.
The study, published online today (May 3) in the journal PLOS ONE, compared the top four dog food companies from the U.S. and Canada to brands that were also included in a recent survey by the Association of American Feed Control Officials.
Each dog food company was given a score of 100 out of 100 based on food quality, flavor and nutritional value, according a press release from the study.
The results were similar across the U, Canada and the U/C countries.
“The results of this study are consistent with previous studies on dog food that have shown consistency across different geographic areas, which shows that quality and consistency can be found across multiple countries,” Miller said.
“These results are not the result of a single, well-done study that just takes a random sample of the best dog food, and it’s actually not the case.”
Dog food manufacturers have a lot of control over the quality of their products, but they do have a huge amount of freedom when it comes to the ingredients they use.
There are no regulations that prohibit using a food that contains an ingredient that has been proven to be harmful to a dog.
The FDA has a list of ingredients that are banned from use in dogs, and some of the ingredients found in some dog food are considered safe to eat for humans.
In addition to food, other ingredients used to make dog food can include antibiotics, steroids, artificial flavors, sugar, wheat, salt and spices.
“Most of the foods that we eat, we buy from a restaurant or store,” said Miller.
“There are a lot that have been approved and that are sold in restaurants.
That’s how we get what we want, but most of the time it’s not the real food.
The real food has been adulterated and then they add the additives.”
He said there is a lot more regulation around food additives than there is around food ingredients, because manufacturers have to pay for testing for any problems that might occur from using certain additives.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that food additives should be labeled with a statement like “No food additives found.”
The researchers said the results of the study showed consumers should not be discouraged from buying dog food because it’s expensive, or because it is a brand that doesn’t sell well.
“Consumers should not give up on the quality that dog food has to offer, even if it costs more than the competition,” Miller added.
Miller is also a co-author of a study on dog health published in September in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
In that study, researchers found that dog owners in the U., Canada and China were healthier and more active than those in the United States and Germany.
The findings suggest that quality can be a strong predictor of whether dogs are healthy or not, said Miller, who also is a research scientist at the Center for Applied Nutrition. “In the U
